RESERVE FUNDS

MEMORIAL FUND
            This fund consists of gifts to the church in memory of deceased persons or in honor of individuals. It is administered by a committee under the supervision of the Session.

BENEVOLENT FUND
            This fund resulted from a $25,000 gift from the estate of a deceased member. The interest from this money has been used for benevolences such as Habitat For Humanity, the Hospice program the Adult Day Care Center, and flood relief.

BUILDING FUND
            This fund is used for building projects and major repairs.

SCHOLARSHIP FUND
            The Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 with money from the Frances Owen Youth Fund and by a gift from the Presbyterian Women. Six scholarships have been awarded through 2004. Its purpose is to aid young men and young women of First Presbyterian Church in pursuit of higher education.

Opportunities to contribute to the fund are provided two times yearly through a special offering approved by the session. Memorial gifts may also be designated for this fund.
