Church Information Booklet
A WORD FROM THE PASTOR

Our congregation welcomes your interest in the life of our church. We want to become better acquainted with you and give you an opportunity to know us. To that end, the following pages of information are provided.

God has reached out to us and our world through his son Jesus, the Christ. Through the church which Christ called into being, God’s love for us becomes a flesh and blood reality. Our relationships with the people of God are the primary way whereby we come to know and feel deeply God’s care for us. Through the fellowship of the church we get a taste of the salvation that God offers us. Christians strive to be active members of the family of faith, giving and receiving from our fellow family members and reaching out to those beyond our family.

If you are a person who has moved to our community and have no church “home” here, you would be welcome to unite with us. If you are a person who has never had a church home (never professed your faith in Christ), you would be welcome to profess your faith and unite with us. If you are a person who has church roots but have been inactive in your church, we invite you to renew your faith and join us. Even if your circumstances don’t fit any of these categories, you are welcome here.

When the opportunity arises, our session (the governing body of our congregation) meets on Sunday mornings in my office to receive new members. Let me know if you would like to discuss this matter. I would be happy to spend time with you.
