Blessed are they who are poor in training or ability, and
yet give of their all in efforts and loyalty, for theirs is the kingdom of
music.
Blessed are those who seek not to glorify themselves, but who glory in singing
with others for others, for they shall glorify God.
Blessed are they who come not to services only, but to rehearsals with
faithfulness and regularity, for they shall sing with confidence on Sabbath.
Blessed are they who are always on time to rehearsals, for they shall prevent
needless repetition.
Blessed are they who pay attention and chat not, for their reward shall be in
knowing where we are and what we are singing.
Blessed are they who show up for services, for they shall be greatly honored by
their fellows.
Blessed are they who watch the director, for they shall save us all from
embarrassment.
Blessed are they who rise and sit as directed with the group, for they shall not
appear to be slack.
Blessed are they who learn music well before expressing an opinion, for they
shall never have to eat their words.
Blessed are they who are willing to try something new with as much enthusiasm as
they are something familiar, for their reward shall be endless adventure.
Blessed are they who faithfully serve God through music with little material
reward, for they shall obtain a permanent seat in the choir in His eternal
kingdom.
