Facebook and Twitter 101 for Congregations

Here's what you've been waiting for - Facebook and Twitter for Beginners! Join popular author and webinar leader Lynne Baab, who will provide an overview of how Facebook and Twitter both work; how groups, such as congregations, can use them; and a brief discussion of whether we need to be concerned about online relationships replacing face to face relationships.

If you've been wanting someone to help you evaluate whether or not your congregation should be considering these social networking options, this webinar has been designed just for you.

Jane Love purchased access to this Alban Institute Webinar "Facebook and Twitter 101 for Congregations." David Young and Bob Pearce watched this webinar with Jane.

Lynne M. Baab is a Presbyterian minister and author of six books and a Bible study guide. She recently completed a Ph.D. in communication at the University of Washington. She lives with her husband in Dunedin, New Zealand, where she is a lecturer in pastoral theology at the University of Otago. She is the author of four Alban Institute books: Personality Type in Congregations: How to Work with Others More Effectively , Beating Burnout in Congregations, Embracing Midlife: Congregations as Support Systems and Reaching Out in a Networked World: Expressing Your Congregation's Heart and Soul.

Please visit www.alban.org/learningdetail.aspx?id=8502 to learn more about the presenter and to download a 5475KB PDF copy of all slides presented. A copy of this PDF is also available from David Young.

This webinar will remain online until 12/30/2009. Please contact David Young for the web address and access code if you wish to listen to this webinar.

Alban Webinars combine an interactive visual PowerPoint presentation with an audio presentation (broadcast to your computer, or accessible using a teleconferencing number provided).  Webinars thus allow you to hear and see innovative presentations by our consultants, authors, and other congregational leaders, either live or at your convenience on-demand.
