Hebrews Chapter 1
In Old Testament times, God’s
message was given through the prophets. After Jesus was born, God’s
word was spread through his Son and the disciples whom he taught. This
Son perfectly mirrors God and is stamped with God’s nature. After his
death on the cross, Jesus took his place high in the heavens alongside
God—far higher than any of the angels. His name, Son of God, was passed
onto him by the Father establishing him above all angels. God said,
“Let all the angels worship him.” God said, “Your kingdom will last
forever because you love right and hate wrong. All the earth and
everything upon it will fade and become nothingness, but You will remain
forever, and You will sit beside me.”
Prayer:
Dear Lord, we are ever thankful
that your Son was presented tous as a human—first a baby, then a child,
and t hen a man teaching us how to live, to worship You, and obey your
laws. Amen
