John 15

John 15 is a reassuring scripture for us.  It inspires and gives us guidance in what we should do to be good Christians and what to expect if we do God’s will.   The following are key messages that we understood after reading John 15:

· Jesus wants us to grow in/with him

· Life would not be meaningful without Jesus.

· Keep God’s commands

· Love one another

· Love your friends

Sometimes it will be difficult to be a Christian.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We are thankful for all of the beautiful things you have given us.  We are thankful for your love and compassion.  We are thankful for the works that we are able to accomplish as individuals, as a family, and as your servants.  Please help us to love one another in the way that you have asked.  Give us the wisdom and skills to do the tasks that you would have us do so that it is pleasing to you.  In Christ’s name we pray.  Amen.
