Deuteronomy 31:6-8

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus let us be reminded of our God's faithfulness and great sacrifice of love. Jesus birth symbolizes "God with us" in human form. After his death and resurrection God returned, as promised, in the form of the Holy Spirit- and is with us to this day. What a comfort this is when confronted with times of difficulty and uncertainty in life! Regardless of our circumstance we do not need to be afraid. God will give us strength and courage for all of life's challenges. He always goes before us and will never leave us. May the peace of Christmas be with us all!

Prayer:

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness. As we prepare for the birth of Jesus, we remember your great sacrifice of love for us. We are humbled by it. My we live our lives reflecting our thankfulness. Amen
