John 1:1-18

It is important to realize that “the Word” in verse 1 refers to Jesus Christ.  Isn’t it great to realize we worship a Savior that was present with God in the very beginning of creation?

When we find ourselves in a dark room or a dark forest we immediately are uncomfortable, scared, or we may even panic.  We search for light to illuminate our path to safety.  Jesus is the light and with Him there is no darkness.

Just as John the Baptist witnessed to the world the coming of Jesus and testified that Jesus is the light, we need to be bold witnesses to our family, our friends, our workplace, and the strangers we meet.

Prayer:  Dear Precious Jesus, Help us to realize when we look upon you, we see the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth, so that we may see the light which leads us to eternal life.
