The cover for the 2009 Advent Booklet was done by Cheryl Thiel. The art for the cover was a tissue collage done on glass, using the advent colors and depicting the advent wreath candles. Some Christians believe that the season of Advent serves a dual reminder of the original waiting that was done by the Hebrews for the birth of their Messiah, as well as the waiting of Christians today for the second coming of Christ. Thanks to everyone who participated in and helped to prepare this booklet for our congregation so that our lives will be enriched the Advent Season. The
